vre InvestmentsWelcome to vre Investments – virtual real estate investments. There has been a parallel of the physical world to the virtual world of the Internet for over a decade now. Just as physical real estate has value becaue of its usefulness, real estate on the Internet has value too. Real estate value starts with an Internet address – primarly a dot com that provides exclusivity for the owner.

Value is then added to the domain in the development of a website at that address, many times with an earning potential through either the sale of product or the collection of leads for another commercial concern. This is a virtual world that has earning potential as real as that in the physical world.

The virtual world Second Life has its own economy and a currency referred to as Linden Dollars. This economy is independent of the Pricing, where users pay Linden Lab. In the SL economy, residents buy from and sell to one another directly, using the Linden, which is exchangeable for US dollars or other currencies on market-based currency exchanges.

Today, the economic activity at the Second Life economy is in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The basis of this economy is that residents can buy and sell services and virtual goods to one another in a free market.

Because of the existence of virtual land, there is an active virtual real estate market. Originally all land comes from Linden Lab, but after that it is bought and sold much like real-life real estate. Mainstream media has reported on SL residents who earn large incomes from the Second Life real estate market.

Dating in Second Life – 3 Things You Must Not Do

Second Life is a virtual reality world which is used by people to meet others, create things, buy and sell items, work, try things out that they cannot in real life and basically create lives that mirror their dreams.

One of the biggest dreams a lot of people have is that of finding a love partner they can connect to on a deep level. In Second Life this can include having meaningful and deep romantic and sexual relationships. This is such a popular pastime that some of the most visited sites in Second Life are romantic clubs and hideouts.

But there are three things you must not do if you are thinking of dating someone, whether for a long term relationship or one night stand.

1. Not bother checking the person’s age.

There is no way to know someone’s age by their avatar. A 12 year old could be walking around in a fully adult looking avatar and a 50 year old can be in a 4 year old looking avatar. So how can you verify that the person is an adult and you are not about to commit **********?

Right Click on the person’s avatar, go to Profile and see if they have the words, “Payment Info Used”. If they do, it means that the person has a credit card or other form of payment method linked to their account. Although never 100% certain, in most cases this will mean the person is an adult because most kids don’t have payment capabilities for their Second Life accounts.
